Jinchuan Group has expanded rural education support in Jishishan county, Gansu province, focusing on school facilities, teaching equipment, paired assistance, student aid, and cultural exchange.
At Anji Primary School, the group funded upgrades to living facilities, dividing the canteen into food storage, washing and processing, cooking, and dining areas, and providing dormitories with electric floor heating, nearly 100 beds, storage cabinets, and standardized bathrooms with separate wet and dry areas.
The group also installed smart blackboards at Ningjia and Anji primary schools that combine traditional writing with multimedia functions, and paved and rubberized playgrounds at many other primary schools.
Nearly 50 officials and 24 village-based staff members from Jinchuan visited families during traditional festivals. This year, they visited 78 orphans and children without parental care 368 times, resolving 267 difficulties and handling 315 practical matters. Over the past six years, aid programs have supported more than 60 students from low-income families.
In August, the group, along with Gansu's Jinchang and Linxia government departments, organized a study tour to the Jinchuan Science and Technology Museum and Jinchuan National Mine Park to broaden students' horizons.
Du Xingtai, deputy head of the group's assistance team in Jishishan, said Jinchuan will continue to support rural education, allowing more rural students to pursue their dreams.
