Two technological innovation projects from Jinchuan Group Copper and Precious Metals Co have won first and third prizes at the 4th Gansu Enterprise Science and Technology Innovation Competition.
The first-prize project, "Innovative R&D and Industrial Application of Core Equipment for Efficient Copper Electrolysis Production," targets efficiency bottlenecks and automation gaps in traditional electrolysis equipment. It has improved production efficiency, reduced labor intensity, and optimized cathode copper quality, advancing electrolysis toward smarter and more efficient operations.
The third-prize project, "Research and Application of Process Optimization and Equipment Upgrading for Copper Pyrometallurgy," addresses key challenges in the company's copper smelting system. It focuses on continuous, efficient processes and equipment upgrades, achieving breakthroughs in safe and stable operation and in processing complex gold concentrates, while providing quality anode plates for downstream electrolysis.
Both projects have independent intellectual property rights and have delivered economic and social benefits in application.
The company will continue to increase R&D investment, deepen cooperation with research institutes and universities, and accelerate the application of innovation results in production.
