Jinchuan Group Digital & Intelligent Technology Co is using robots and AI to improve the new energy industry and industrial safety.
The company's cleaning robots carry small photovoltaic panels to store power and move between modules without cables, while operators can start cleaning tasks remotely through the digitalized cleaning system for the photovoltaic module surfaces.
Wang Chengyun, an engineer responsible for this system, said it combines data collection, analysis, intelligent control, and wireless transmission. It upgrades maintenance from reacting to problems to predicting them, he said. Operators can monitor robot status and schedule tasks from the control room.
The company's workshop-level safety lock system is used in industrial red zones, conveyor belt corridors, and power distribution room passages. Smart locks stay closed unless equipment is stopped and risks meet standards, while sensors and AI cameras monitor sites. Card checks have replaced keys and paper registration, Wang said.
The system will expand to high-risk areas such as ore crushing and closed sites, including high-voltage distribution rooms and pump stations. The team will also improve AI video recognition of violations such as fence climbing and unauthorized lingering, and add remote diagnostics for lock devices.
