In Jinchang, lies the third largest nickel copper sulfide deposit in the world; to the side of the mine is Jinchuan Group, China's largest and the world's leading nickel and cobalt production base and platinum group metal refining center.
On Feb 12, Ren Shoumai led a team to visit Jinchuan Group to carry out prospecting and exploration investigation.
In January, Jinchuan Group achieved revenue of 13.74 billion yuan (about $2 billion) with an increase of 1.51% year-on-year.
On Feb 2, Wang Fangtai, deputy secretary of the CPC Jinchang Municipal Committee and mayor of Jinchang, visited Jinchuan Group, where he learned about the production, operation and projects construction status of the company.
Jinchuan Group supports the strengthening of local industry by promoting the transformation of the nickel and cobalt industry into new energy battery materials, as well as the upgrading of nickel and copper alloys and precious metals to deep processing.
In January, Jinchuan Group is expected to achieve revenue of 13.7 billion yuan and total profit of 630 million yuan.
Recently, the Jinchuan Group Testing Center was awarded the "Proficiency Testing Quality Award" of the China NIL Research Center for Proficiency Testing.
Jinchuan Group has set up Gansu Nickel-Metropolis Privately Offered Fund Management Co., Ltd. and the Gansu Nickel-Metropolis Industrial Investment Fund, aiming to implement new development ideas and actively giving play to the important role of funds in supporting industrial transformation and upgrading.
