The 11th International Exhibition of Inventions, along with the Belt & Road and BRICS Competition of Skills Development and Technology Innovation was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province from Aug 22 to 24. Jinchuan Group displayed 15 outstanding technological innovation achievements at the event, with 10 of them receiving awards, including one gold medal, four silver medals, and five bronze medals. The group was also honored with the Best Organization Recommendation Award.
This year's exhibition highlighted China's latest innovations in key fields such as new-generation information technology, artificial intelligence, new energy, new materials, and biomedicine, demonstrating how invention is driving industrial upgrading and improving quality of life.
The gold medal was awarded to the project titled "Advanced technology research and application for green and deep extraction of platinum group metals from complex tailings", developed by a team led by Pan Congming, a distinguished master technician in precious metals smelting at Jinchuan Group Copper Co Ltd and a recognized national-level master artisan.
Over the years, Jinchuan Group has pursued becoming a world-class enterprise by extensively carrying out grassroots technological innovation activities among its employees. Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021–2025), the group has developed 10,430 innovation achievements, identified 1,234 advanced operational methods, and obtained 1,338 patents. These efforts have generated economic benefits of 1.65 billion yuan ($230 million), providing strong internal momentum for the company's growth.
