As a major strategic project listed in the "14th Five-Year Plan" (2021-25), the project adopts advanced stainless steel permanent cathode electrolysis technology. It is the first large-scale application of domestically-developed stainless steel cathode plates, breaking the import monopoly. By utilizing high-tech tools such as industrial Ethernet and smart communication, the project achieves full-process digitized control, establishing a comprehensive intelligent control system. Through the integrated application of various smart equipment, labor productivity has been significantly increased, setting a model for the digital transformation of the traditional copper smelting industry.

The project's completion not only realized the intelligent transport of the entire "copper ore anode copper-cathode copper" industry chain, but also synergized with the group's new energy and chemical recycling industries. The accompanying anode intelligent storage and transport system replaces the traditional forklift + cart operation mode, realizing unmanned operations. This enhancement has improved storage and transport efficiency, making the site environment safer, greener, and more environmentally friendly. The refined byproduct sulfuric acid serves as a chemical raw material, supporting the extension of the industrial park's fine chemical industry chain and providing strong support for the 100 billion-yuan-level non-ferrous metal new material industry cluster in Jinchang city.

Jinchuan Yongchang Copper Company will use copper production from the second phase of the project as a starting point, focusing on the core goal of "rapid production and standardization of the electrolysis system". The company will concentrate on advancing process optimization breakthroughs in copper electrolysis refining, continually improving industrial internet platform construction, and utilizing data algorithms to optimize key real-time process control parameters. The company will continue to deepen technological innovation, driving the copper industry chain towards high-end, green, and intelligent development, and contributing to the smooth realization of the goals set in the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the construction of a "trillion-yuan Jinchuan".
