The streetlight installation project in Anji town's Fengguang village and Liuji town's Cuijia village in Jishishan county, funded by Jinchuan Group, has been completed. A total of 300 solar streetlights are now in use, illuminating the rural roads.
"It's much more convenient now." This is the phrase most frequently used by the residents of Fengguang and Cuijia villages when talking about the streetlights recently.
Jinchuan-funded streetlights
The four townships and eight villages in Jishishan county that are supported by Jinchuan are surrounded by mountains, with many sharp turns, S-curves and intersections along the rural roads. To effectively improve the living environment and infrastructure of the supported villages, enhance quality of life for villagers, and ensure safety during nighttime travel, Jinchuan has been implementing lighting projects in these villages.
In 2023, the group funded the installation of 357 streetlights in Dongpingsi village of Zhaizigou town and Zhaojiawan village of Guanjiachuan town, focusing on areas with the most traffic, concentrated residential areas and public activity zones, earning widespread praise from villagers. Last year, they funded the installation of 300 streetlights along the 28-kilometer main road in Fengguang village of Anji town and Cuijia village of Liuji town.
Jinchuan's streetlights
Du Xingtai, the head of the Jinchuan's village assistance task force, said the lighting project implemented by the group in the four supported villages has illuminated over 60 kilometers of village roads, directly benefitting 1,200 households and over 5,000 people.
The streetlight installation project in Fengguang and Cuijia villages, coincided with a critical phase of post-disaster reconstruction in the county. Jinchuan's village assistance task force proactively coordinated the project and selected locations.
Now, every evening when night falls, the streetlights automatically turn on as scheduled, resembling twinkling stars from afar, brightening the winding rural paths.
