After a journey of nearly 3,000 kilometers, the first batch of disaster relief supplies from Jinchuan Group arrived in earthquake-stricken Lhaze county, Shigatse city, Xizang on Saturday evening.
The supplies included 165 emergency tents, 260 military beds, 150 mattresses, 991 moisture-proof mats, 414 emergency sleeping bags, 973 long cold-resistant clothing items, 897 pairs of high boots for warmth, as well as instant noodles, sausages, bottled water, milk and emergency medicines.

Upon arrival, the social assistance office of Jinchuan and relevant personnel from Tibet Tianyuan Mining Resources Development Company quickly coordinated with the local authorities to carry out the transfer of the supplies.
Various supplies have been received and registered by the Civil Affairs and Veterans Affairs Bureau of Lhaze county and will be centrally allocated by the Red Cross Society of Shigatse to assist the people in the earthquake-stricken area.
