Water is the source of life, a necessity for production, and the foundation of ecology. Jinchuan Group has always adhered to the philosophy of "prioritizing water conservation, strictly controlling water pollution, and substantially improving efficiency of water usage", integrating water conservation throughout various aspects of corporate development.
Through continuous technological innovation and project construction, Jinchuan constantly explores water-saving measures, optimizing equipment cooling water facilities, establishing energy control centers, investing heavily in wastewater treatment, constructing multiple sewage treatment plants and comprehensive utilization projects. Implementing measures include wastewater network rectification, using different methods to treat wastewater according to their compositions, and centralized reuse, which have significantly increased the reuse rate of water resources.

Of particular note is the handling of tailings slurry, for which Jinchuan has established a specialized technical team to continuously engage in scientific research and innovation, and successfully constructed a recycling system and obtaining multiple patents. The launch of the large-scale "water system quality classification and recycling system upgrade project" has effectively alleviated the pressure of water usage caused by increased ore processing volume, and achieved efficient utilization of tailings backwater throughout the process, saving millions of tons of fresh water annually, and providing ample domestic water resources for the local area.
Jinchuan's water saving site
Jinchuan has made significant progress in industrial water reuse, raising the reuse rate from 94.5% at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20) to over 96% today.
In the future, Jinchuan will continue to rely on technological progress and steadfastly promote water conservation efforts. Through persistent efforts, Jinchuan is committed to becoming a model water-saving enterprise, contributing even more to safeguarding national water security and promoting sustainable development.
