Human Rights Policy

Updated : November 4, 2024

1. Prohibition of Discriminatory Treatment and Other Improper Conduct

JNMC fully respects every individual, regardless of race, skin color, age, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, disability, etc. We do not engage in any form of differential treatment. We actively recruit and cultivate highly professional talents who can communicate with people of diverse values in the international community and develop global talents that can drive the business of Jinchuan Group forward.

2. Prohibition of Forced Labor and Employment of Child Labor

JNMC will not engage in forced labor, employment of child labor, human trafficking, or trade of human beings against their will. To prevent child labor, we verify the age through government-issued identification during employment. In the absence of such documentation, we will confirm the age through multiple public channels. Here, "employment of child labor" refers to minors under 16 years of age as defined by the "Labor Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Regulations on the Prohibition of the Use of Child Labor": they are not allowed to enter into labor relations with units or individuals to engage in income-generating labor or individual labor.

3. Protection of Personal Information and Privacy

JNMC respects personal privacy and does not infringe upon individual rights. We comply with laws and regulations related to the protection of personal information and do not tolerate the leakage of information or the improper acquisition of private information.

4. Responsible Employment Practices

JNMC will provide employees with employment contracts written in the employee's native language or a language they understand, to ensure that employees correctly understand their employment terms. Moreover, foreign migrant workers must receive their employment contracts before leaving their home country and may not have their employment contracts changed upon arrival in the host country unless it complies with local regulations and the alternative or amended contract conditions are at least equivalent to the original ones. Additionally, it is prohibited to charge recruitment fees or other fees to workers. If it is found that workers have paid such fees, they should be immediately refunded to the workers.

5. Prohibition of Holding Original Identity Documents and Wages

JNMC will not retain the original passports, government-issued identity documents, wages, or other valuable items of employees. The original identity documents are kept by the employees themselves, and even if the employees return to their own country, Jinchuan Group will not retain these important original documents or wages.

6. Migrant Workers

JNMC will abide by declarations on human rights, human rights policies, and other internal regulations, treating migrant workers and other employees fairly without discrimination in hiring.

7. Equal Pay for Equal Work

JNMC will not set wages or other entitlements differently between male and female workers, as well as between regular employees (full-time employees without a fixed term) and informal employees (part-time employees, employees with a contractual period, dispatched employees), without justifiable reasons. If unreasonable differences in treatment are discovered, we will swiftly work to resolve these disparities. Here, justifiable reasons include differences in job content, responsibilities, work content, personnel transfers/work location changes, and positions.

8. Balancing Work and Family Life

To promote a balance between work and family life, JNMC has established leave systems including maternity leave and parental leave to ensure that employees can fully utilize their capabilities. Furthermore, not limited to those caring for children, we also have leave systems such as family visitation leave so that all employees can achieve a balance between work and family (private life).
