It has established a circular industrial chain that includes calcium carbide, acetylene, PVC, calcium carbide residue, dry process cement and mine backfill. The chemical industry comprises three main sectors: Sulfur chemicals, chlor-alkali chemicals and ammonia-soda chemicals. It has an annual production capacity of 7 million tons of sulfuric acid, 400,000 tons of caustic soda, 500,000 tons of PVC resin, 10,000 tons of PVDF resin, 180,000 tons of hydrochloric acid, 100,000 tons of potassium sulfate, 80,000 tons of liquid chlorine, 200,000 tons of soda ash, and 200,000 tons of ammonium chloride.
Jinchuan’s affiliated chemical company is the largest producer of ion membrane caustic soda and PVC in Gansu province, with an 80% market share of PVC within the province.
