To lead the mining industry towards green and sustainable development, Jinchuan's Longshou Mine has been targeting energy conservation and emission reduction over the years, making great efforts in the research and development of multiple intelligent equipment and efficient methods to minimize the negative impact on the environment.

Longshou Mine has established a comprehensive accounting system for energy consumption throughout the production process and adopted advanced, efficient, and energy-saving technologies and equipment.

The implementation of the "Longshou Mine 5G Intelligent Heating System Transformation" project has enabled the intelligent control of surface water heating systems using 5G technology. At the same time, the "Longshou Mine Intelligent Monitoring and Centralized Control of Air Supply, Water Supply, and Power Distribution Systems" project has been implemented to monitor and analyze the operation of underground air, water, and power energy systems. This initiative effectively reduces energy consumption, ensuring the stability of the energy supply system to the greatest extent.

In terms of emission reduction, Longshou Mine has adopted scientifically rational measures for the disposal of waste rock, oil sludge, wastewater, exhaust gases, dust, and noise, minimizing environmental impact.

At waste rock storage areas, diversion channels, embankments, and retaining walls have been set up to prevent landslides and erosion. Environmental protection signs, protective fences, green isolation belts, and other facilities have been established to reduce dust emissions and soil erosion.

Wastewater generated during the production process at Longshou Mine is reused for filling or landscaping through the comprehensive wastewater utilization system. Excessive wastewater is treated at the Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd. sewage treatment station and reused throughout the entire plant, with no external discharge.

The main source of exhaust gas at Longshou Mine comes from the paste filling slurry station. Bag-type dust collectors are installed at the top of the agitator to capture dust generated during the filling process. The dust is then discharged through exhaust pipes after being filtered by the bag-type dust collector, achieving a dust removal efficiency rate of 99-99.7 percent.

To address noise pollution, the mine selects efficient and low-noise equipment for such activities as rock drilling, blasting, and loading during underground mining. For air dynamic noise generated by ventilation fans and air compressors, the mine has adopted noise reduction measures, such as installing mufflers on the inlet and outlet pipes of the fans. The noise control measures are feasible and effective, with noise impact in the 200m radius around the mining area being minimal and meeting environmental protection goals.
