The Yuzhong County 2023 Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition recently opened.
The "Development of High-Purity Iron Products for High-Temperature Alloy" project by Jinchuan Group's Lanzhou Jinchuan Science and Technology Park stood out among the 20 projects participating in the finals. It won the first prize in the competition, being prioritized for inclusion in the Lanzhou Municipal Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project Library.

High-purity iron is widely used in fields such as high-temperature alloys, magnetic recording materials, aerospace, soft magnetic materials, and electronic components. The foreign high-purity iron processes are mainly concentrated in countries such as Japan, the United States, and India.
Currently, over 90% of the high-purity iron used in China is imported. In order to achieve localization of high-purity iron products and break foreign monopolies, Lanzhou Jinchuan Science and Technology Park has conducted independent research and development, breaking through technological barriers and successfully developing 4N and 5N high-purity iron products.
The development and research of high-purity iron products by Lanzhou Jinchuan Science and Technology Park promotes the diversified, serialized, and integrated development of Jinchuan's high-purity metal industry. It is of great significance to continuously improve the research and development level and competitiveness of Jinchuan's high-purity metal field and promote the development of related industries.

Meanwhile, the Lanzhou Jinchuan Science and Technology Park attaches great importance to project construction and talent development. During the R&D process of the high-purity iron project, eight talents in the field of high-purity metals have been trained.
