With the Belt and Road construction, the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals and other national policies, traditional enterprises are required to accelerate their transformation into development mode. Jinchuan has highlighted its promotion of the transformation of energy structure towards green and low-carbon, and implemented numerous actions to facilitate new projects that prioritize the use of green energy.

By promoting the optimization and upgrading of the new energy industry, a batch of companies that prioritize energy conservation, emission reduction, green and high-quality development have emerged. These companies provide support in wind power equipment manufacturing, photovoltaic power plant construction, and the development and utilization of solar thermal and solar power products, injecting great impetus into Jinchuan's high-quality and sustainable development.

As an important participant in the new energy industry, Nickel-Metropolis Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Company has participated in formulating the overall implementation plan for the backbone enterprises in the strategic emerging industries in Gansu province. It has also strived to obtain national subsidies for new energy power generation policies and has been recognized as a "national high-tech enterprise" and "technological innovation demonstration enterprise in Gansu province".

Gansu Jintai Photovoltaic Power Station under Nickel-Metropolis Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Company has an average annual power generation of 280 million kilowatt-hours. Since its grid connection in August 2013, it has accumulated a total of 2.49 billion kilowatt-hours of power generation. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), it is expected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 102,500 tons per year for Jinchuan Group.

At the same time, Nickel-Metropolis Industrial Company has entered the field of wind power equipment manufacturing, undertaking the manufacturing business of wind power towers and selling them to surrounding provinces and regions such as Inner Mongolia, Qinghai and Ningxia.

"We will continue to increase investments in advanced manufacturing process research and development, improve the automation and intelligence level of wind power manufacturing in a bid to make greater contributions to the local sustainable development," said a spokesperson of Nickel-Metropolis Industrial Company.
