Experts and scholars in the mining industry across the country are striving to find directions to break through in the industry, with green and intelligent development having gradually become the consensus. Under this circumstance, the 2023 Mining Green Intelligent High-quality Development Summit Forum was held on Apr 16, at Jinchuan Group in Jinchang.

This distinguished gathering of the mining industry attracted the attendance of over 100 experts from 16 universities and over 30 mining enterprises. With the theme of "green, low-carbon, intelligent and efficient", this event provided participants with a platform for sharing classic cases and discussing the new trend of China's mine industry, in a bid to inject impetus into the further high-quality development of the domestic mining field.

After the event, experts were invited to visit Jinchuan Group's Science and Technology Hall, paste filling station of No.2 Mine, and the "5G+ driverless electric locomotive" intelligent workshop of Longshou Mine. “Jinchuan Group has attached great importance to the green and intelligent development of the mining industry, and has achieved remarkable accomplishments in high-quality development. Various innovative breakthroughs of the company have played a leading role in the national mining industry," said Wu Aixiang, former vice president of the University of Science and Technology in Beijing.
Jinchuan Group accurately grasps the opportunity of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals ", actively promotes the development of intelligent mining, continuously increases scientific research investment, accelerates the convention and application of scientific and technological achievements, focuses on the development of deep resources and green intelligent mining technology, accelerates the transformation of cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements such as 5G, so as to further provide technical support and reserves for its future development. According to data, in 2022, Jinchuan Group invested 1.13 billion yuan (about (about $162 million) in research and development, carried out 80 scientific and technological breakthroughs, and undertook 15 major national and provincial research projects. The conversion rate of scientific research achievements was 75%, and the contribution rate of scientific and technological innovation development was 65%.
Going forward, Jinchuan will continue to give priority to ecological protection, deeply integrating intelligent mining development with the coordinated development of the ecological environment.
