According to Jinchuan Group International Resources, under the principle of reducing costs and increasing efficiency, the company's main financial indicators have improved. The revenue recorded a 6% increase to $880 million, while revenue from the mining business segment increased by 5% year-on-year to $650 million, with cobalt sales revenue significantly increasing by 51% to $160 million. A stable and orderly production and operation has been reported.
The mines currently in operation of the company mainly include the Ruashi Mine and Kinsenda Mine located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In 2022, Ruashi Mine produced 30,353 tons of copper and 3,961 tons of cobalt; Kinsenda Mine, one of the highest grade copper deposits in the world, has an average copper grade of 5.8%.
Furthermore, located 3 kilometers north of Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Musonoi Mine has cobalt resources of 363,000 tons, with a grade of up to 0.9%, making it one of the highest grade cobalt mines in the world, and is currently under its construction. After completion, it will greatly improve the copper and cobalt production capacity of Jinchuan Group.
