On Feb 12, Ren Shoumai, secretary of the CPC Mineral Exploration Technical Guidance Center committee of the Ministry of Natural Resources and deputy director of the center, led a team to visit Jinchuan Group to carry out prospecting and exploration investigation.
Wang Chi, member of the Party leadership group and deputy director of Gansu Provincial Department of Natural Resources, Li Shangyong, general manager and deputy secretary of the CPC Jinchuan Group committee, and Zhao Zhenghong, deputy mayor of Jinchang, presented during the forum.

Ren introduced the goal of the prospecting and investigation strategic action, as well as the relevant working arrangements. He highlighted that taking the "four areas", namely, the basic survey area, the key survey area, the key exploration area and the deep part of the mines, as the starting point, the relevant departments need to promote the high-quality development of the mining industry and contribute toward national energy and resource security.

Ren also pointed out that Jinchuan Group has attached importance to prospecting and investigation work, and has achieved good results in the previous actions, having accumulated the necessary related experience. He urged the company to promote bilateral cooperation in prospecting, deep mine exploration, the information acquisition of mining rights, the comprehensive utilization of mines, policy research and tracking, so as to realize new geological breakthroughs.
Wang Chi highlighted that Gansu will continue to adhere to the green development principal, make breakthroughs using modern science and technology, and improve the region’s mine exploration ability, so as to make Gansu's resource advantages transform into local economic advantages, and contribute toward improving the security of domestic energy resources, and ensuring the security of energy resources and key industrial chains.

Li Shangyong said that Jinchuan Group will further implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, focus on the promotion and utilization of new technologies and new equipment, strengthen cooperation and exchanges with local governments and relevant departments, and meet the needs of the nation.

During the forum, the Mineral Resources and Industrial Information Research Center of Jinchuan Group and the Jinchang Natural Resources Bureau reported on the development of geological prospecting, and participants carried out in-depth exchanges and discussions.
