Recently, all the excavation works of the 0-400ml ramp of Musonoi Project of Jinchuan Group Metorex Limited have been completed and have achieved long-distance connection, opening a new stage of mine construction.
The 0-400ml ramp project is the transportation channel for ores, personnel, materials and equipment during the shallow oxidized ore mining period and the pilot mining period of the middle section of the sulphide ore mining. It is an important ventilation channel and safety exit for the mine mountain, as well as one of the key lines of the Musonoi copper cobalt mine project.
The 0-400ml ramp is 4,090 meters long, and the total excavation volume has exceeded more than 65,000 cubic meters. A single layer of shotcrete anchor mesh support is designed. The project has adopted the plan of simultaneous constructions in different sections, realizing partial connection first and then the overall connection of the whole ramp. The excavation works have been completed two months ahead of schedule. The average monthly excavating footage of 124 meters, and the maximum monthly excavating footage was 180 meters, which have reached a high-level quality work in mine excavation.

The accurate connection of the 0-400ml ramp makes the main ramp connect with the mixing shaft and 1# air shaft at 400ml point. It formed a new mine ventilation, transportation channel and emergency exit, greatly improving the underground environment. It also improved the transportation status of underground engineering equipment, materials and waste rocks, creating favorable conditions for the construction of deep projects, and also marking that the trackless transportation conditions for ore extraction have been achieved at the level above 400ml of the project. It has laid a solid foundation for realizing the first underground sublevel trial mining in 2023.
