As a pioneer of provincial enterprises and national key non-ferrous metal enterprises, Jinchuan Group has actively insisted on the Belt and Road initiative and carried out international production capacity cooperation through multinational operations.
Since 2018, Jinchuan Group has participated in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) for four consecutive years, signing agreements with an accumulated value of 30.4 billion yuan (about $4.2 billion). It has continued to cooperate with over 20 international enterprises, including BHP Billiton Ltd., Corporacion Nacional del Cobre de Chile (CODELCO), Siemens AG of Germany, Southern Line of the United States, and Epiroc of Sweden, covering fields such as nickel copper concentrate procurement, non-ferrous metal trade, and complete equipment imports.

From November 5 to 10, 2018, the first CIIE opened in Shanghai. As a large non-ferrous smelting enterprise of great global influence, Jinchuan Group conducted in-depth exchanges with BHP Billiton, CODELCO, and other companies through the negotiation platform of the CIIE, with signed contracts worth over 9 billion yuan, covering raw material procurement, capital operation, and advanced equipment. The successful signing of the contracts in the first CIIE not only provided strong support for the resource guarantee of Jinchuan, but also expanded Jinchuan's influence in global trade cooperation.
During the second CIIE, Jinchuan Group arranged signing activities for the purchase of nickel, copper, cobalt, precious metal raw materials, and for mining and metallurgical engineering equipment. It signed 11 purchase agreements with four foreign enterprises, including Trafigura and Epiroc Hong Kong, with a cumulative value of 9.46 billion yuan. It was the enterprise that inked the highest value contracts in Gansu province. The signed imports primarily included copper concentrate, drilling jumbo, refractory brick, and other resource and mining products.
In the third CIIE, Jinchuan Group signed a nickel concentrate purchase contract with Norilsk Nickel, sales agreements on refractory bricks and purchase contracts for large equipment with Epiroc Hong Kong, ABB (China) and other international enterprises, with a cumulative contact value of 1.31 billion yuan. In addition to the above five on-site agreements, Jinchuan also signed six agreements off-site, with a total signed amount of 8.45 billion yuan.
During the 4th CIIE, Jinchuan Group signed a copper concentrate purchase agreement of 3.4 billion yuan with Kazakhstan Mining online.
The current 5th CIIE opened in Shanghai on Nov 5. Jinchuan Group will sign five agreements with Rio Tinto Group of the United Kingdom, Norilsk Nickel of Russia, Siemens AG of Germany, South Line of the United States and JVK Filter System of Germany via mail, covering nickel copper raw material procurement, complete equipment import and other fields.
