In 2018, the early construction work of the Musonoi project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was being carried out. As soon as members of the project arrived on-site, they immediately devoted themselves to ramp construction. At that time, there was just a container, functioning as their office, dormitory and canteen. The poor working environment left unforgettable memories for Wang Guoquan, a former member of staff of the project. At present, the working environment of Musonoi project department has been freshly renovated - the camp is neat and standardized and the sanitary facilities are complete. The canteen, which can accommodate more than 100 people, is undergoing the final decoration process.

Over the years, while accelerating the construction of projects, the Engineering Construction Mine Engineering Branch has also focused on the improvement of the local working environment, building over 200 standardized dorm rooms. Furthermore, it has also continuously upgraded the living facilities, providing televisions, air-conditioning and other electrical appliances, and is constantly improving the living conditions of overseas workers, so as to provide them with a more convenient and comfortable working and living environment.

In 2016, the Kinsenda project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was established. The overseas staff would bring vegetable seeds from home to the work site, and used their spare time to reclaim wasteland and successfully built a small farm. This side project meant that they could still enjoy Chinese vegetables in the foreign country, and helped relieve their homesickness. In order to help overseas employees maintain a healthy and delicious diet, each overseas project department hires chefs from China, who regularly update their menus.

The Engineering Construction Mine Engineering Branch actively plans and organizes cultural and sports activities. In addition to purchasing these facilities, the company has also built and set up basketball courts, table tennis rooms, swimming pools, volleyball courts, gyms and other venues for staff.
