After new COVID-19 cases were reported in many places in Northwest China’s Gansu province, Jinchuan Group has immediately set pandemic prevention and control tasks, calling on its factories, mines, workshops, teams and employees to observe local authorities' requirements, thereby ensuring smooth production and effective pandemic response.
The trade union of Jinchuan has put forward a proposal, calling upon its members to raise awareness in COVID-19 prevention and put relevant measures into effect.
The company has made full use of its publicity platforms, including Jinchuan News App, its official website and WeChat account, as well as Sina Weibo and other digital channels to promote policies and measures concerning the fight against the COVID-19, helping employees raise their consciousness and boosting scientific understanding of the current situation.
Jinchuan Group Chemical Co., Ltd., a national key enterprise providing pandemic prevention and control supplies, has maintained a stable production capacity of two tons of 84 disinfectants per day during the outbreak. The company has donated over 3,500 boxes of 84 disinfectants, weighing more than 40 tons, to local enterprises and administrative units in Jinchang.
As the only disposable medical mask and protective clothing producer in Jinchang, the light and health industries division of Nickel-Metropolis Industrial Company of Jinchuan Group has made full preparations to ensure sufficient reserves of such materials in an unceasing supply and stable market prices.

Since the latest outbreak, the company has provided more than 2 million disposable medical masks to the market, and has donated 50,000 pieces to service institutions such as Jinchang Airport.
Jinchuan’s purchasing and supply center has also coordinated the needs for pandemic prevention supplies of its member enterprises, striving to protect the health of its employees and ensure the smooth and orderly production of the group.
Jinchuan Group is one of the important non-ferrous metal production enterprises in China, and its production materials are transported from Alashankou and Horgos ports in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region to its workshops every day.
The group's logistics company, which dispatches personnel and transports production materials, gives COVID-19 prevention and control the top priority.
It has changed the original international intermodal paper freight tickets into electronic ones, and arranged disinfection for elevators, gates and other key parts involved in the shunting operation. Through collecting and tracking information of transportation vehicles, it has ensured that all people, vehicles, and goods are carefully inspected.

At the eight points in the factory and mining areas that involve the entry and exit of vehicles from different places, information of logistics vehicles, drivers and passengers has also been recorded and checked by guards. Vehicles and people are allowed to enter the production area only after inspection and disinfection.
Member enterprises of Jinchuan Group took multiple measures, such as formulating emergency plans, improving inspection standards, and optimizing work lists to intensify disease control. It has also regularly sterilized meeting rooms, toilets and bathrooms, and has assigned 24 hour shifts to employees stationed at temperature measurement sites.

In addition, the group has given full play to the roles of Party branches and Party members in fulfilling voluntary tasks such as policy publicity, inspection and registration, temperature detection, sanitation and disinfection, material distribution and emergency response.
Jinchuan has also organized 30 youth volunteer teams and convened more than 600 volunteers to work with communities, demonstrating their dedications as CPC and CCYL members.
As a designated hospital for COVID-19 treatment in Jinchang, the group’s staff hospital has expanded its capacity in nucleic acid testing, providing services for local residents, as well as for teachers and students at four primary and secondary schools in the city. The hospital has also provided free TCM for visitors to enhance their immunity against the Delta variant.
