A group of journalists recently conducted an inspection tour of Ruashi Mining SAS under Metorex Limited, a subsidiary of Jinchuan Group in Lubumbashi, the second largest city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), at the invitation of the DRC Association of Chinese-invested Mining Enterprises.

They learned about Ruashi Mining’s implementation of the DRC's recently released mining laws, its promotion of local infrastructure development, and the fulfillment of its socio-economic responsibilities.
During the visit, they hailed contributions made by the company in creating employment opportunities, developing infrastructure facilities and building harmonious communities in the DRC.
As a role model in deepening China-DRC cooperation and shouldering social responsibilities, Ruashi Mining has made huge investments in such sectors as infrastructure, culture and education, medical treatment, public health, and the protection of women and children’s rights and interests, improving the wellbeing of the local people and facilitating the economic and social development of the DRC.

Upholding the mission of equal cooperation and common development, the company has made efforts to build harmonious communities, offer assistance in the installation of electricity, rebuild roads and improve water supply facilities. It has also purchased learning and sports materials and medical supplies for local schools, as well as having donated anti-pandemic supplies to local communities.
Local media have given extensive coverage of the efforts made by Ruashi Mining to create job opportunities and offer assistance to the DRC, and spoke highly of Jinchuan’s Metorex Limited.
Metorex and its subordinate units are to promote the implementation of China's Belt and Road Initiative, make the Chinese voice heard by the world, and act as a role model for overseas Chinese enterprises.
