We have made breakthroughs in the first seven scientific challenges and organized and implemented 64 major sci-tech research projects concerning the comprehensive utilization of resources and industrial transformation.
We have improved a tiered investment mechanism for research and development and have invested 920 million yuan ($136.9 million) in R&D - a 43 percent increase year-on-year, with the input of business entities accounting for 76 percent.
We have obtained 518 authorized patents, achieving an annual patent transaction revenue totaling 42 million yuan; prepared and revised 21 national and industrial standards; won 13 provincial or ministerial-level science and technology progress awards. A total of 100 items, including small inventions, innovations, reforms, designs and suggestions made by our employees have received awards from the company, with 10 being rewarded at or above the provincial level. The conversion rate of our scientific research achievements has also reached 81 percent.
